The metal is physically stronger,  rusts less, more reliable, last longer, dedicated back up and spares,
safety compliant, easy starting, worth repairing and would be missed. 

A selection of reliable (not to much musical chairs) engine manufacturers to look out for,

Honda,  Briggs & Stratton,  Kawasaki,  Stihl,  Husqvarna,  Makita,  Robin,  Echo, 
 
I think Stihl is the best 2Stroke engine for our area, parts wise etc.

Beware of cheap machines putting Brand name engines on, to make them look better !
